Remise Transport Museum
As one of Vienna’s newest museums, the Remise Transport Museum Wiener Linien, looks at the evolution of the public transport system in Vienna, from historic vehicles, to our modern, everyday trains and trams. Built in 1901, the depot in which the museum stands is a testament itself to the changing times of transport.
Now, visitors can enjoy the interactive displays outlining how far we’ve come from horse-drawn carriages of the imperial era, to the dawn of Vienna’s metro system in 1978. It’s a great museum for the family where you can enjoy 14 different exhibits and even play the role of a subway ticket collector!
