Museum of theatre
The palace was built in the 17th century. The centrepiece of the building, the magnificently decorated Eroica Hall, commemorates Ludwig van Beethoven and the first performance of his Third Symphony.
Another highlight is the impressive painting by Gustav Klimt, “Nuda Veritas”, one of the artist’s major works, which is presented in connection with “Vienna around 1900” together with costumes and stage design models.
With the Café im Lobkowitz, the Theater Museum is getting a seasonal gastronomy. Museum visitors and staff, as well as external guests looking for a place to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, can now enjoy Italian Piazza style food, coffee specialties, aperitifs and much more.
