Schloss Hof Estate & Schloss Niederweiden
An hour’s drive outside Vienna, Schloss Hof Estate is another of Vienna’s stunning 18th century imperial palaces. The former country residence of the Habsburgs was once owned by Prince Eugene of Savoy, who was well known for his lavish tastes and eccentric décor.
The palace and grounds cover 120 acres and house a wonderful estate of terraces, orangeries and manicured baroque gardens for visitors to enjoy. There’s also a petting zoo and farm.
Today you can take a tour of the chambers and halls from the baroque ball rooms to the rustic open kitchens, and learn about this enchanting palace and the role it played in the imperial family throughout the 18th and 19th century.
